Talking about myself is one of my least favorite things to do, but the promotion of a children’s book, as it turns out, requires me to be uncomfortable. Luckily, as an active 5+ year NFL veteran, I’ve grown used to certain degrees of discomfort. My journey in football has led me all over the country, graduating high school in San Diego, later graduating college with a BA in marketing from Houston Christian University, where I was fortunate enough to lead a successful college football career that would in turn lead me to signing to the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent in 2021. I met my wife at HCU in 2016. From Chicago, I would play for the Jaguars for three years before a stint in Atlanta and finishing the 2025 season as a Miami Dolphin. Promoting literacy has been a pillar of my community involvement, working with non-profits like Read USA in Jacksonville, FL and Book Harvest in Durham, NC. The Candlemaker has seen many versions of myself and is only the beginning of my creative endeavors. I thank you for taking the time to be part of this journey with me.
